The Mighty Nein's Opening Sequence Chose the Wrong Popular RPG Show Song

This latest animated series, the most recent animated adventure by the beloved role-playing group, unveiled a new opening credits. It showcases the beloved group of outcasts, outcasts, and criminals fighting hard and taking names, while teasing at several heart-wrenching personal histories for characters such as the voice actor's mage Caleb, and another actor's orc warlock, the character Fjord.

All in all, the intro looks stunning. However, I felt that something was lost in the music selection.

The intro employs "Welcome to the Continent", a truly stellar composition composed by producer and singer the talented musician. This piece from the official score of the same name, the second one released by Critical Role Productions LLC's music division their music brand. It's a great nostalgic choice, and I suspect that devotees of the second campaign will appreciate its inclusion.

But for me, The series' intro fails to capture the hype and excitement that accompanied the second campaign's live-play sessions. "It's Your Turn", written by singer-songwriter the artist, became an immediate hit for me when it was first revealed in 2015, and it improved further when cast member Sam Riegel added lyrics to the melody for the series' animated intro in the later year.

Including singing from one actress, another performer, a co-star, as well as the writer, the song was catchy and fun. Back then, I hadn't seen the follow-up series yet, but it was so infectious that I kept it on my device. This track that excites you before you dive into an installment of adventurous fun.

The show's intro with "Welcome to Wildemount" doesn't strike the right notes in my opinion. It's an impressive composition, but from what I know of this party, I feel that its mood is a little off.

Naturally, Critical Role has already said that the series will have a few changes and differences from the actual-play campaign. An adjusted mood for its opening seems to be among these.

This animated adventure will be available to watch on Prime Video from Nov. 19. For those eager before that, or want a head start to learn about the personas of the second series, the original episodes are accessible on the audio platform and YouTube.
