Soccer Expert Sutton Takes On Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions
Arsenal's 10-game victorious streak was ended by the Black Cats before the international hiatus, but can the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated football expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."
The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, against artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.
In week 12, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.
The singer's latest record, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.
Football and Family Experiences
Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football games over time - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a player.
"{I recently played in a benefit match the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "My side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!
"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or boy decides to play instead."
The singer and his spouse his partner have two children, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their coach.
"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their Saturday football team," he said.
"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a while too.
"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our team for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Premier League Predictions
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea might have to be patient for their star's return from fitness issues but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
In my opinion this game will be quite close, however. Burnley are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
It suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
Olly's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have lost their past two games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they do look competitive again.
The Hammers' sole away win this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's manager.
Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - will it be the Hammers continuing their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?
I will go with Bournemouth, because I think what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign began, but they have impressed a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their past four games.
A family member advised me to get Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.
Thiago will probably score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.
The Bees have not had much fortune on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team carry much more of a threat.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
Olly's prediction: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a many goals but it actually proves to be rather tight. 1-1
AI's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.
Fulham have have plenty of talent in their team but it still seems like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.
Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.
Their display in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed anyone else disrupt the North London side like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.
The sensible thing would be to back the visitors here, because they are obviously able of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of October.
But I am not do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good results because they clearly love to prove me wrong.
Looking at the home side's home form, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be extremely eager for a positive result, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a bad streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at home this campaign. 2-0
AI's outlook: 2-0

This is a hard one to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
