Injured Sesko to Sit Out Slovenian National Team Games but United Hopeful of Quick Return
Forward Sesko will miss out on the Slovenian national team's forthcoming fixtures versus Kosovo and Sweden due to a knee injury suffered during the recent match against Tottenham. Nonetheless, the club remains hopeful that he could return soon enough to play against the Everton side after the international break.
Injury Details and Recovery Period
The forward had to come off in the 87th minute of Saturday's 2-2 stalemate with Tottenham having been brought on on 58 minutes for Noussair Mazraoui. Manager Ruben Amorim expressed concern post-match, leading to Sesko's withdrawal from the Slovenian national team.
Manchester United will conduct further tests at their Carrington facility in the coming days, but early indications point to a possible recovery ahead of the Everton match on November 24th.
Other Squad News
Maguire and Casemiro also were forced off the pitch during the Spurs match. While Maguire's condition remains unclear, it is believed that Casemiro is fit and has reported for national team commitments for Brazil.
Lisandro Martínez, who has not played after suffering a knee issue back in February, will travel to Argentina at their training base in Europe. However, the center-back won't play in the Friday friendly against Angola at Luanda. A member of the club's performance team will support Martínez, who recently resumed work with the first-team group.
